Play Therapy Sessions
Standard sessions for both individual children and groups, 40 minutes each week in school, currently using individual toolkits for each client. Play Therapy is effective for children with a wide range of behavioural or emotional difficulties, I liaise closely with parents whenever possible and report back regularly to the school. I am happy to wear a visor or mask during sessions if required.
Outdoor Play Therapy Sessions
Weather permitting, these take place on the school field or playground using a small tent for the child to take some shelter. For individual children and small groups.
Video Call Sessions
These were introduced during school closures to support children and their families. Although a new concept, these proved to be invaluable, maintaining contact with children in need of support and vulnerable families. These sessions take a more directive format as I provide each child with individual craft kits and materials, designed to aid communication. I have continued to maintain this method of contact with children absent from school.
Parenting Courses
I offer two parenting courses, these are both gentle, supportive and interactive courses which give parents the skills to improve their attachment relationship, resulting in a happier home. Both courses can also be offered remotely to groups of five parents, if required, to allow for social distancing.
